STS-128 Launches on Mission to Deliver Science Equipment to International Space Station

Space Shuttle Discovery lifted off on a 13-day mission to deliver more than seven tons of supplies, science racks and environmental hardware to the International Space Station marking the start of the transition from assembling the ISS to using it for continuous scientific research.
